We are Law Enforcement Officers, Medics, Fire Fighters and retired LEO's who have moved onto other careers such as law enforcement educators , ministers and school psychologists, etc.
In just the last few days I have received information regarding the deaths of four police officers. Now it's time to take a look at the explosion of the fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas.
Ten of our brothers lost their lives while fighting a fire they knew was going to spread to a warehouse packed full of ammonium nitrate being readied for the planting season. These courageous men went forward when common sense said “run,” and it cost them their lives. In fact, this is the highest number of firefighter and medics killed in a single incident since 9-11. Five of the firefighter/EMT’s killed were from one department—all were volunteers.
Our prayers should include these brave ten men and the families that must go on without them.
